Winter Break!
MTCHS will be closed for Winter Break from December 19, 2020 to January 3, 2021. We wish a very happy holiday season to all and a safe and happy new year!
Potential Student & Parent Information
What an interesting year this has been. As a result we are unable to have events at our school for potential students. However, we have some interesting virtual experiences and information being mailed to you that we think will give you some information that shows how we are a unique high school educational experience. See below:
- The application is available now in the upper right hand corner of our website. It is due on February 5th, 2021. The lottery drawing is on February 12th, 2021.
- Before the November break all parents of 8th graders registered at a West Ada school will receive a packet in the US Mail that gives you information about our school. Sign up now to be notified of 360 Virtual Tour and Live Q&A sessions and more. Go to https://clone.smtchs.org/tech-x
- Virtual Experience Minecraft world NOW LIVE!
- By January 1st 2021 we will have more information with student samples and videos about our focus areas for students available on our website under Future Students. https://clone.smtchs.org/future-students/
- We will also do an online question and answer session on January 11th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and January 19th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Recordings of these sessions can be found at https://www.facebook.com/mtchsID/live.

Holiday Baskets, 2020 Style!
One of our favorite events of the year is the Student Government Holiday Basket Drive. Each December, every first period classroom pulls out all the stops to make the best basket ever to donate to a local family in need. It’s fun, competitive, and we end up with some amazing, beautiful baskets! Sadly, with COVID restrictions, it seemed like our basket drive would be cancelled this year.
HOWEVER… never underestimate the creativity and determination of the MTCHS Student Government! They are bringing Holiday Baskets back with a twist! We are now taking online donations for the food bank. Each homeroom has a goal of $50, and hope for so much more! To donate, go to the MTCHS homepage, click the green dollar symbol in the top right and click donate or pay money to MTCHS. You will then put in your amount and select Student Government in the dropdown menu. Put the student’s name and first period teacher’s name in the text box. Or scan the QR code to go straight to the donation link. Our DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18! The homeroom with the best donations will win extra time for one of their lunch periods!

Yearbook Ad Sale
The MTCHS Yearbook staff is running a limited time 20% DISCOUNT on Senior Ads. Senior Ads are a wonderful way to let your student know how proud of them you are! Each ad includes a letter from parents or family and showcases your choice photos… adorable baby through fabulous teenager, or just senior photos if you prefer. Proceeds are all funneled back into the yearbook to create the most beautiful book imaginable. This discount price on Senior Ads will end on December 18, after which time the price goes back up!

SALE: Half Page = (8.5 x 5.5) $55
Yearbooks are still available to order at the price of $40 until December 31. Prices will go up in January.
