Student Government
The Student Government is a group of 16 students that are charged with managing a wide range of events, activities, programs, policies and initiatives around school. Some members are elected by the student body, and others may be appointed by the elected officials to help with specific tasks or areas of interest.

The Purpose
The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.
Teamwork
Student government is all about teamwork, everything you do involves coordinating with other people in leadership positions. Being able to work effectively in a team is a hugely desired skill in the working world and getting lots of experience in college will prepare you for your future career.
